Description
The stop consists of two self-designed 3D printed parts, which are precisely matched to each other. Assembly is done using four M5 × 30 mm stainless steel screws. The pre-drilled holes should be re-tapped with an M5 tap before screwing
The design is specifically designed for double-bar mesh fences with a bar thickness of 6–5–6 mm and 60 × 40 mm fence posts. The stop serves as a mechanical end stop or stopping point and ensures precise, stable positioning of the fence element. Thanks to the two-part design, assembly is easy, and the component can be easily disassembled or adjusted if necessary
The stop has been in practical use for over two years and has proven itself in outdoor areas. So far, there has only been a single damage event when an excavator grazed the component. Apart from that, the stop showed no material or function-related failures
For outdoor use, printing with ASA is recommended, as this material is UV and weather resistant. In combination with stainless steel screws, the stop is ideal for permanent outdoor use
