Mustang Running

The Mustang horse represents one of the most powerful symbols of freedom and the untamed spirit of the American West
Although often referred to as wild horses, they are technically feral animals, descendants of horses brought to the Americas by Spanish conquistadors in the sixteenth century
Their name indeed comes from the Spanish word "mesteño," which referred to untamed livestock
Over the centuries, these animals adapted to living in the most rugged territories, developing extraordinary physical endurance, extremely hard hooves, and a keen intelligence necessary to survive predators and resource scarcity From a morphological perspective, the Mustang does not follow a rigid breed standard due to continuous natural crossbreeding, but it is generally a medium-sized horse, muscular and compact, capable of covering great distances with very little sustenance
Today they are protected as historical icons and live in specific areas managed by the US government, continuing to embody the profound connection between Native American culture, the pioneer epic, and the pristine nature of the great prairies The model I created is a dynamic and elegant representation that captures the Mustang in full, fluid gallop
The posture is distinctive, with the left front leg extended to touch the ground and the head slightly tilted, details that convey a sense of realistic movement and athletic power
The mane and tail are sculpted with voluminous strands that appear to float in the air, accentuating the effect of speed The choice of matte white filament gives the object an appearance similar to plaster or modern marble, highlighting the play of light and shadow on the anatomical forms
The chromatic contrast with the dark brown, flat, and thin base is very effective because it simulates the ground without distracting attention from the main subject, maintaining the sculpture's balance despite the reduced support point Printing is very easy since the horse is divided into two parts, and you will not have any issues with strange supports
The design was also created to give you maximum bed adhesion and thus reduce the risk of failed prints
The two sections are assembled with two round pins and a drop of Loctite Super Glue
I created this model especially for those who do not have printers with large print beds (it is also compatible with the A1 mini) and for those who do not have multicolor devices
