Yes android only .... on google playsrore.. Chica server and chica client are both required. One in the hand held phone for a remote control, the other that sits on the actual hexapod. Note - if building this now get the pirimoni 2040 servo controller board... it will work out a lot cheaper, easier doing the wiring and neater than the maestro board.

Is there an alternative for servo 2040 piromoni board without any change in programming/pins?

I didnt find the decorative bits on the leg files on your STL downloads. These are in the github, but yours look different and more decorative. I think they are called leg shields. The details and software are on the github https://github.com/MakeYourPet/hexapod.git as given in the link above. The youtube links on there also show the builds and the rest of the project on how to set this up. The required apps for your android phone (note it is android only). Apps from the google playstore required are chica client and chica server. Important information on setting things up is also given in the linked you tubes and it is helpful on the Discord server. I am sorry but I didnt find anything unique about this post on Makerworld all of the information, almost word for word, is on the originators site. Having said that it is a nice Project, but I know where I will get the latest information and required details from.
