IMPORTANT: For this model you´ll need to use glue. Some pieces (Depending on Filament used and 3D Printer) will fit perfectly in a way where mabe there´s no needed to use glue, even though I recommend you to use it (SuperGlue for small parts and SiliconGlue form big ones, ALSO THERE ARE SOME SMALL PARTS Where you´ll need to use small tools to manipulate them correctly notice this before starting to print).
For this project you´ll need to be very patient, as there´s a lot of very thin parts, due to the complexity of this model, also there´s lot´s of supports wich you´ll also need to remove very carefully. But as you can see the work is worth of your time :)
To have the full details/colours on the front Lights, the Rear Lights, the front and rear badges and for the rims, you´ll need to use AMS or Multicolour systems, even though you can still print them in single colour.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk5 R32, introduced in 2005, was the final and most refined evolution of Volkswagen’s iconic R32 formula, blending naturally aspirated power, all-wheel drive traction, and everyday usability into a compact performance hatch. Sitting at the top of the Mk5 Golf range, the R32 carried forward the spirit of the Mk4 while adding a more modern chassis, improved handling, and a higher level of refinement, making it one of the most desirable hot hatches of its era.
At its heart was the legendary 3.2-liter naturally aspirated VR6 engine, producing 250 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, delivering a distinctive, deep exhaust note that became a signature of the R32 name. Power was sent to all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, providing exceptional grip in all conditions. Buyers could choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox or the advanced 6-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, which offered lightning-fast shifts and helped the R32 accelerate from 0–100 km/h in around 6.2 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
One of the biggest improvements over the Mk4 came from the Mk5’s new PQ35 platform, featuring a multi-link rear suspension that dramatically enhanced handling, stability, and cornering precision. Combined with a wider track, stiffer chassis, and larger brakes, the Mk5 R32 felt more balanced and composed, especially when pushed hard on twisty roads. Despite its performance, it remained comfortable and practical, perfectly suited for daily driving.
Visually, the Mk5 R32 was muscular yet understated, featuring unique front and rear bumpers, flared arches, side skirts, 18-inch Zolder alloy wheels, and the trademark twin central exhaust outlets.
The Golf Mk5 R32 represented the end of an era. It was the last R32 to use a naturally aspirated VR6, as future Golf performance models would move toward turbocharged four-cylinders under the Golf R name. Loved for its sound, character, and all-weather performance, the Mk5 R32 remains a cult favorite and a modern classic—an ideal blend of refinement and raw mechanical charm that continues to be celebrated by enthusiasts today.
