Description
Hey.
I made this retro-style oil lamp model, but it turned out kinda bad and I really can’t be bothered to redesign it.
You print this model, and you read this description, entirely at your own risk.
The lamp is designed to fit standard (I think?) electric tealights with a diameter of about ~37 mm.
In the base, there’s a hole where you push the tealight in. It stays in place thanks to three retention tabs.
Warning: this is permanent. Once it’s in, it’s not coming out. Lol.
In the base you also mount the funny little crown thing - either press-fit or glue it in place. Do whatever feels right.
Then you put on the flame and the thing I don't know how to name.
Now pay attention, because this part is complicated:
- The flame was printed in vase mode, with a single bottom layer that must be removed mechanically afterward.
It’s not really necessary, and honestly it just gets in the way - but shhh. - The glass shade is printed with 2 walls, no bottom, no infill, and no top layers.
I added a brim so that printing is even possible at all.
And that’s it.
Now you have a wonderful decoration - or a perfect gift for family members you don’t like.
Enjoy
