Description

VW HVAC Blower Link — Replacement Mechanical Connector (3D-Printable)

This part is a redesigned replacement for the small plastic mechanical link inside the VW HVAC system.
When this piece cracks, the cabin fan / heater may stop working or only blow in certain positions.

This model restores proper movement of the internal flap mechanism and brings back normal airflow.

Built from a broken real part and remodeled for better strength.

🔍 Symptoms this part can fix

  • No air blowing from vents
  • Air only works sometimes / only at certain settings
  • Clicking or loose feeling inside HVAC controls
  • Flap doesn’t move when adjusting airflow

✔ Compatibility

Designed for VW Group vehicles that use this style HVAC link
(VW / Škoda / SEAT variants may also fit).

👉 Always compare shape & dimensions with your original part before printing.

If needed, I can tweak dimensions.

🖨 Recommended printing

Material

  • ASA / ABS — best choice (heat + cabin temperature resistant)
  • PLA / PETG not recommended (may deform over time)

Settings

  • Nozzle 0.2mm
  • Layer height: 0.1 mm
  • Walls: 8
  • Infill: 100%
  • Supports: not required

Test fit gently first. Slight sanding may help if tight.

🔧 Installation

Remove the broken link and snap this replacement into the mechanism.
No glue required if tolerances are correct.

Takes only a few minutes once the HVAC unit is open.

💡 Note

This is a repair part — not an OEM component.
Use at your own risk. Heat, tolerances and wear may vary between vehicles.

Checking and measuring is certainly good, but what specific car, model, and year did you install this part on?
