Description

The F15E was an 80s development of the F15 program to give the United states a supersonic multirole strike fighter to replace the older, slower F4 phantoms and A7 corsairs operated by the US at the time.  The aircraft is manned by a crew of two, a pilot and a wso. The jet has seen combat in panama, both gulf wars, iraq, afgahistan and many other smaller conflicts. It is a significant upgrade to the F15B/D which it was based, featuring a signifgicant increase in fuel and weapons payload due to the new CFT's and engines.

The model here was inspired by Plane01s F15 kit card, I wanted to focus on the details, my model is specificly based on an f15E based out of lakenheath airbase in the uk, one of 3 F15 units in europe, all of which are located at lakenheath.

It doesnt belong to any single unit and has no tail numbers or codes nor any insignia. The model only takes 2 colors and hold together very well wth the connectors I designed. At the time of release I havent gotten around to making ground weapons, it does however have an option between carrying 2 aim 9s on each wing pylon, for a total of 4, or the option to carry a mixed load of 1 Aim 9 and 1 Aim 120 per pylon for a total of 2 aim 9s and 2 aim 120s. I will take munition suggestions and might do some other tail insignias or units.

Assemply is straight forward. use the 4 connectors to attach the fuselage pieces, the taller ones go upfront and the smaller ones in the back, then slide the weapons into the pylons and attach the pylons to the wings*. then attach the stand. The verticle stabalizers to reqire you to kinda bend the slots out then insert, this gives a better hold and make the jet look really good, if you have fit issues, trim down the front of the vertical stabilizer

I TRIED TO ADD A SPRUE VERSION, The model is to close to the exlusion zone, this was working off minimum sprue tolerances, im sorry, i may upload for H2D/S/C owners

Boost Me (for free)

Boost me if you like my stuff, it helps keep the machines moving, im a one man show, it helps a ton

*For accuracys sake, if choosing the mixed load, the aim 120s are genrally on the outside with the aim 9s on the inside.

without the sprue the print is not good and most of the missile parts by country be careful it breaks when removing from so many trees not to mention that there is a flaw in the file on the upper left part of the turbine

the model is not able to have a sprue due to the geometry of the model interfering with bambus slicing, as for the missles, you must use care and caution for the best fit, this is the fault of the user, I will look into the "flaw"
