Description

I couldn’t find a 3D printable corner shelf that could be properly fixed to the wall, so I decided to design a complete modular wall-mounted system, made to be printed, mounted, and actually used, not just displayed.

This project includes:

  • a hidden wall mounting bracket 🔩
  • a drilling template (JIG) included in the files 📐
  • modular interlocking shelves
  • optional safety locking pins

🔧 Hidden Wall Mounting System

The wall bracket is installed using the provided drilling template, ensuring precise and error-free installation.

Once mounted, the shelves slide perfectly onto the bracket, leaving the mounting system completely hidden

The drilling template is directional and works in two orientations:

  • LEFT → for shelves mounted on the left side of the corner (when facing the corner)
  • RIGHT → for shelves mounted on the right side of the corner

Using the correct orientation avoids confusion during drilling, which is the most critical step of the installation ⚠️

🧩 Fully Modular Design

The system is fully modular:

  • install a single shelf
  • or build a vertical stack of multiple shelves
  • mix left and right versions depending on your corner layout

This makes the design flexible and suitable for many different spaces 🏠

⚖️ Load Capacity (Real Testing)

The shelves were tested printed in PLA, using the provided print settings.

  • 2 kg were tested on the weakest shelf, which is the lowest one, working fully in cantilever
  • Upper shelves can support higher loads, because:

    • they partially rest on the shelf below
    • the load is distributed between the wall bracket and the lower interlocking shelf

As a result, the system becomes progressively stronger from bottom to top 💪

🔒 Optional Locking Pins

Optional locking pins are included to prevent accidental removal of the shelves.

The pins are not mandatory: in my real installation I don’t use them, as the tolerances are designed to create a very tight and secure fit on their own.

Pins may still be useful in high-traffic areas or for additional safety 👶

❤️ Personal Note

This shelf is installed in a kids room and my son absolutely loves it — he uses it every day for toys and small objects 🧸

This project was designed for real-life use, with strength, safety, and practicality in mind.

🖨️ Printing Notes

  • Recommended materials: PLA / PETG
  • No brim required for shelves
  • Supports only where specified in the included Bambu Studio (.3mf) file
  • All print settings are optimized for one-click printing

Designed for real life.

Tested at home.

Approved by my kid. 👌

This is my very first project published on MakerWorld, so any feedback, suggestions, or improvements are more than welcome!

If you like the design, a boost is truly appreciated ❤️🚀
