Description

Parametric Fuse Box Cover

Lost a blanking plate for your fuse box? Need to cover an exposed slot in your breaker panel for safety or aesthetics? This is a fully parametric OpenSCAD generator designed to create custom snap-fit covers.

Because fuse box standards and brands vary, a "one size fits all" STL rarely works. This model allows you to adjust the width, length, and clip positioning to fit your specific panel perfectly.

My fusebox is of the brand HOLEC HH. And the default values of the customizer are set for that.

Key Features

- Fully Parametric: Adjust the width, length, and thickness of the base plate.
- Smart Clips: Adjust the spacing and margins of the snap-fit clips to align with your panel's mounting points.
- Auto-Calculation: The script automatically calculates how many clips fit across the width based on your settings.
- Reinforced Design: Clips include a structural rib for durability.

- No supports: The clips are small enough that they dont need supports.

Customizable Parameters

You can adjust the following variables in the OpenSCAD file to get the perfect fit:
- Base Width: Width of the cover (default: 16.5mm)
- Base Length: Length of the cover (default: 50.0mm)
- Base Thickness: How thick the face plate is (default: 2.0mm)
- Clip Spacing: Distance between the clips (increase this for wider bases).
- Clip Margin: Distance from the edge of the plate to the clips.

Disclaimer

- Safety First: Always turn off the main power before working inside a fuse box or breaker panel.
- Usage: This is intended as a dust cover/blanking plate. It is not an electrical insulator for high-voltage contact. Ensure your use case complies with local electrical codes.
