So Mote It Be
Bring arcane ambiance to your space with Hecate’s Torch from the video game Hades II. The model was designed as a display piece and functional light source. Measuring 3ft tall (or approximately 914mm) the model seeks to capture the mystical presence of the in-game item while adding real-world functionality and modularity.
The torch itself was modeled in attempt to faithfully replicate the in-game item. An included wall mount invokes motifs and images associated with Hecate, the Titan Goddess of Witchcraft, Doorways, and Crossroads. This includes screw cap covers embossed with an image of the crossroads and a crescent moon support.
Printing
The torch is printed across multiple pieces, and no AMS is required. Assembly utilizes printable clips that snap into the components and allow them to fit together. Applying glue prior to joining two pieces together enhances stability.
The torches flame and orb at the top may be secured via clips or 6x2mm magnets to allow for a removable top. This allows easy access to swap between different flame styles, change lighting solutions, or replace LED batteries. The modular design allows for future flame designs to enhance customization options.
The two interchangeable tops included are:
- Large Flame – bold, dramatic, and perfect for a standout display
Magical Orb – a smaller and more subtle glow with an arcane aesthetic

Both the Flame and the Orb pieces are best printed in translucent PLA to diffuse light beautifully.

Print Profile
It is strongly recommended to utilize the included print profile for various settings. These include settings for easily removed and clean supports, modifiers to allow for additional infill at the base of the Orb and Fire model, 3% infill density in translucent pieces to enhance visual appeal, and slower and more precise printing on thinner or smaller models like the torch wrap and screw plugs.
Please see the print profile description for more in-depth list of settings utilized.
Who is Hecate? What is Hades II?
Fair questions!
Hades II is a roguelike game with the theme and characters centered around Greek mythology. A sequel to Hades, this game sees us play as Melinoë, immortal daughter of Hades, on her quest to defeat the Titan of Time, Chronos. Each unsuccessful attempt sees Melinoë return to the crossroads to increase her power with the help of her mentor and leader of the Underworld’s resistance, Hecate.
Hecate is the Titan Goddess of Witchcraft, Necromancy, Doorways, and Crossroads closely associated with the Moon. In the video game, Hecate leads the resistance against Chronos and oversees Melinoë’s progress on her mission to slay the Titan of Time. She also serves as the first boss encounter of Erebus, where she uses her two torches as weapons to challenge Melinoë, the player, to make sure she is strong enough for further challenges.
In classic Greek Mythology, Hecate is a goddess often shown holding a pair of torches, a key, and is associated with crossroads, night, light, magic, witchcraft, and the Moon. Hecate was one of several deities worshipped in ancient Athens as a protector of the oikos (household), alongside Zeus, Hestia, Hermes, and Apollo. The earliest definitive record of Hecate's worship dates to the 6th century BCE, in the form of a small terracotta statue of a seated goddess, identified as Hecate in its inscription. Her history has seen her function as a goddess of boundaries, of the underworld, of witchcraft, and of the Moon.
In modern times, as a "goddess of witchcraft", Hecate has been incorporated in various systems of Neopagan witchcraft, Wicca, and neopaganism, in some cases associated with the Wild Hunt of Germanic tradition, in others as part of a reconstruction of specifically Greek polytheism, in English also known as "Hellenismos". In Wicca, Hecate has in some cases become identified with the "crone" aspect of the "Triple Goddess".
