Description

Description
A purpose-designed 3D printed curved darning needle created to improve control and access when stitching in tight or awkward areas. The curved profile enables a natural rocking motion through fabric, making repairs easier where straight needles struggle.

This design features an enlarged eye to accommodate thicker threads, yarns, or cord, and a solid printed body that provides a more substantial feel than traditional lightweight needles.

0.08mm layer, 3 walls, 100% infill
Prints well in PLA. Requires a bit of post-processing to smooth the needle. I recommend a deburring tool.

Yep, perfect! I believe the print profile I uploaded uses a brim because I had issues with bed adhesion in ABS, for anyone else reading this you can turn off the brim to reduce any artefacts.

quick and easy print! i printed in PLA 2.0+ because that's what i had. the raft stuck to it quite a bit, and i needed to do some sanding to remove the edges. i'll definitely try the print again when i get the correct filament type. the needle functions well, and as expected.
