Description

Complete Candle Making Accessory Set

Simplify your candle making with these multi-vessel wick holders and setters.  Now you no longer have to have a separate size or something that needs to be constantly adjusted for each candle you make.  Instead there are 4 sizes for small containers (2" - 4") and 4 sizes for large containers (3.5" - 5.5").  Each one is double sided to snugly fit 99% of the containers out there.

The wick holder securely hold 1 wick centered, 2 wicks spaced 1" apart, or 3 wicks spaced 1", 1.25", or 1.5" apart.  There are also matching wick setters for setting your wicks into your containers that use the exact same system.  On top of that there are wax gauges that snap onto the setters so you can get a consistent level in all of your containers of 1/4", 1/2", or 3/4" from the top.  Then to finish things off there is a wick height cutter for cutting the length of your wicks at 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" and a accessory to make it easy to apply labels evenly to your containers each time.

Instructions & Details

Start by printing out one of each wick holder for the vessel you are using (2"-4" or 3.5"-5.5").  Test fit the wick holder making sure to use both sides.  Find the one that fits your container the best.   If you deal with a small amount of different sized containers you may not need the full set of all 4 sizes, just print what you need.  Once you determine the correct size, labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4, print out as many of those as you will need at one time for making candles.  I.e. if you usually make 10 candles at a time print out a total of 10 wick holders.  If you will be using the setter print out the one with the same number as the holder that fit.   So if the Small #2 wick holder fit your container you would print out the Small #2 setter. Then print out the rod you will be using with the setter.

Slide the rod through the setter top then slide your wicks up through the rod.  You don't have to slide them through and can just hold them with your hands but it makes it slightly easier as the rods were made to hold the wicks at the top  Place the setter top onto your container, press down on the rod, and set your wicks.  Once set use the wick holder to hold your wicks in place before you pour.  If you are using a wax gauge snap it onto the holder.  Fill your vessel with wax to whatever level you decided or to the bottom of the wax gauge if you are using that.  Let it set, take off the holder, and if you want use the wick cutting guide to get a consistent wick length.

Finish it off with a nice and straight label.  Voila!

Notes on Printing

No supports are needed for anything but to print these properly does require slowing down the inner and outer wall speeds as they are tall and skinny.  The print profiles for all the holders, setters, and rods is set for 0.24 and 40/80 on the walls while the accessories uses a 0.16 high quality to maintain the smaller details.  If you want to have a higher quality print then 0.24mm you can also use 0.12mm as it's a multiple of 0.24 and all the holders, setters, and text on them was optimized for that sizing.

Also it is highly recommended that each number have it's own color to make things more efficient and faster.  So if you print a bunch of Small #3 wick holders in blue then print your Small #3 wick setter in blue also.  For most of the example photos I did #1-Purple, #2-Red, #3-Blue, #4-Yellow, and all rods and accessories in Orange but choose whatever color scheme looks good to you.
