ABOUT COMMERCIAL USE
I'm happy to share my designs but please note that them are for personal use only. This means you can print them for your own pleasure but I have NOT provided any commercial license to anyone to sell either digital or physical copies of my designs (e.g.: you cannot sell 3D-prints of this design). I will not hesitate to report to Etsy or other sites admin if I find them being sold there for profit.
This is a mount for attaching an LCD 20x4 to a standard 35mm DIN bar. I designed it to fit specifically this display (sponsored link): https://amzn.to/3LlIFlU so, it probably has different size from other similar 20x4 display. The mount I've designed has the space for the I2C adapter board too.
Following are display hole distances:
Since I leaved space for the I2C board, display will be attached to the mount using only 3 holes instead of 4 and then you'll need 3 spacers (spacers are included in 3mf file):
NOTICE: attach the adapter on the DIN bar first, then attach the display on the adapter! Doing the opposite (first attaching the display and then attaching the whole assembly on the DIN bar) can cause a damage to display since the adapter could need some force to be inserted on the bar.
You'll need 3 M3 screws having the height of threaded part at least 8mm:
Screws will be screwed in the plastic without using inserts: holes have a 2.8mm diameter and for me screws fit perfectly:
The I2C adapter board will have its own space in the slot behind the mount and will not interfere with the DIN bar
If you think screws are too loose, you can always think about using a nut with a slightly longer screw:
