Description

šŸ”Œ UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch Mount (MultiConnect Compatible)

This is a mounting housing designed specifically for the UGREEN 2-in 7-Out USB 3.0 Switch
(non-affiliate Amazon link, ASIN B0FF498RHP).

🧩 It was originally designed for usage with Underware 2.0 using openGrid MultiConnect snap-in connectors, but it should also work with any MultiConnect-compatible system, not just openGrid or Underware.

šŸ”§ Mounting & Compatibility

This model uses MultiConnect ā€œQuickChangeā€ channels, making it easy to mount and dismount—especially useful in tight or confined spaces.

āœ… In my personal setup, I’ve had great results using:

  • 4Ɨ MultiConnect connectors
    • 2 on each long side

You may prefer more or fewer connectors depending on your layout, orientation, or how rigid you want the mount to be.

šŸ–Øļø Printing Notes

šŸ“¦ Included 3MF Profile

  • Generic PLA
  • Default Bambu Lab P1S settings

🧪 What I Personally Used

  • ELEGOO Black PETG with Bambu Lab machine calibration settings

šŸ“ Design Details

  • 1 mm tolerances
  • 2.5 mm wall thickness
  • Tuned for a balance of durability šŸ’Ŗ and material efficiency ā™»ļø

PLA should be perfectly fine for most setups, but PETG may be preferable if your environment runs warmer or the hub is enclosed.

šŸ“‚ What’s Included

  • 1Ɨ Mounting housing (STL / 3MF)

šŸ”© What You’ll Need

  • UGREEN 2-in 7-Out USB 3.0 Switch (non-affiliate Amazon link)
  • MultiConnect snap-in connectors
  • Your preferred MultiConnect-compatible mounting system

ā¤ļø A Note from the Maker

This is my very first model released to the community. I’m incredibly grateful to the many makers whose shared designs and ideas provided inspiration. After not finding a compatible mounting solution for the hub I use, I decided to design one myself and give back.

šŸ’¬ Feedback is very welcome!

While I may not be able to address every request immediately, I’ll do my best to incorporate improvements where possible.

Thanks for checking it out, and happy printing! šŸš€šŸ–Øļø

Printed great, and for those wondering, fits the 10gb model too. Thank you!

Awesome, thank you for the feedback, and glad to hear it was helpful for the 10gb model as well. Please let me know if you find the mounting system problematic. I ended up attaching openGrid attachments directly into this model in a separate version to make mounting a bit more durable, and I'm considering uploading that too, but I wanted this to be "system agnostic" for those who may be using a different setup with the MultiConnect attachments.

It's certainly a little fiddly if you need to plug or remove cables, as depending on the action you are always pushing or pulluing in the direction that unmounts the holder. But, for these kind of devices it's more of a set and forget scenario so it's not a huge issue. If anything, you might find the connectors work better having three rows running along the width of the model so you're much less likely to accidently unmount it from the grid when changing things around, but I imagine native connectors work a treat too. Maybe consider adding your one as a separate profile :)

Sorry, I don't understand your comment. Could you please elaborate? You need to print the MultiConnect attachments and use those to mount it. It depends on which version of underware you're using.

You may want to remove mention of Underware and say this is an openGrid model. Underware has a completely different mounting shape. user_ is correct, this does not fit Underware 2.0. This is for openGrid.

Can you also make a version that is only for screwing? Like with screw holes instead of the "connectors"?
