Meter Housing

It's a side-mount housing for a consumption meter for my printer cabinet. This way, I can always see how much energy a print consumes. There are certainly simpler solutions, but I found this DIN rail module much more appealing than the socket solutions.

The basic housing only comes in one version. The housing cover and the cable cover are available in different versions. The "A-version" is for people who like to tinker and solder. The "B-versions" are for people who prefer to use a wire terminal (Version B_1 for people who can work well with supports).

I also glued in felt glides / furniture glides to decouple the module from possible vibrations and as spacers for the looped-through wire.

For the electrical connection, I split a triple distributor.

For mounting, I used various wood screws from my collection box. These don't need much hold except for the 2 screws for cable routing. The size of the drill holes can be adjusted by anyone in the slicer thanks to "X-Y hole compensation".

By the way, printing these components consumes about 0.4kWh of energy when using PLA.
