Description
What
This is a simple but effective design for a basket addition to any 3-wheeled Micro Mini scooter you can buy from Micro Kickboards at https://microkickboard.com Local pages/whebshops per region exits; search for yours.
You see these 3-wheeled scooters everywhere for kids nowadays and you can buy them for kids (toddlers) ages 2-5, at around €100-150, but they do not come standard with a basket.
It is actually one the first designs I made after buying a 3D printer in 2025.
My daughter just got a Micro Mini with LED-lights in the wheels, but a basket was missing to hold small items that she picks up all the time, so after finding no other design I made one myself.
Now this is your easy print to make one at home for your kids!

About the design:
This design is simple, lightweight, and uses standard small zipties to fix it close to the top of the main post coming up from the wheels to the handlebars.
Features of this design:
- easy installation using simple store-bought zipties.
- fixation to the front of the scooter so it won't turn/twist sideways
- perforated sides, tested for stiffness, yet not using too much material. (Hole size optimised after testing)
- a drainage hole for (rain)water at the bottom of the basket.
- an opening to expose the metal pin for adjusting handlebar-height. (Added in a later version)
- smaller holes/perforations to one of the baskets edges, to fix thin items like sticks and stems of flowers, feathers etc.
- roundings of all edges to remove sharp corners.
- handlebars, height-adjustment mechanism, and other functions of the scooter are still completely usable.
Photo's & older version:
Photos of the basket mounted on a blue scooter are from an earlier version with thinner walls, no flower-holders. Meant for showing the size and mounting only.
The photos of only the basket are this current design: the latest and strongest.
