Description
The HANS is a U-shaped carbon collar positioned behind the neck, with arms on the shoulders and tethers to the helmet: it limits violent head movement in impacts by transferring forces to the torso and seatbelts instead of the neck.
Designed in the 1990s after fatal accidents, it reduces basilar skull and whiplash injuries by 80%, and has been FIA-mandatory since 2003.
This is a 3D printed 1:2 scale HANS replica made entirely in PLA. Perfect for enhancing 1:2 scale Formula 1 driver helmets, suitable for all types of collectors to add extra detail to their collection. It makes the F1 model as realistic as possible.
For best results, sand the model, repaint it, and apply a layer of shellac to enhance and make it even more realistic. It’s also possible to make the straps to attach it directly to the helmet.
