Magnetic Exhaust Filter Device Designed for H2C

Note 1: You need to purchase some activated carbon (granules) and at least 8 pieces of 6mm×3mm button magnets separately

Note 2: It is recommended to install it when the printer is turned on (working) to accurately align with the fan's opening position, otherwise it might fall off when the fan starts due to misalignment

Major Update: A flatter version has been added! Because some activated carbon fillers might be too heavy, causing insufficient magnetic attraction and slippage, the total weight is reduced after the update, and most should be sufficient! It is recommended to use lighter fillers!

I. Project Rationale

The ventilation in my home is not suitable for placing a printer, but the smell of printing PETG in the room is unbearable, so I designed an exhaust filter device specifically for the size of the H2C exhaust port, and actual tests showed it can significantly reduce the smell of printing PETG, without needing further ventilation

II. Design Advantages

1. A magnetic base that perfectly fits the H2C size, convenient for placement and removal

2. A split design with the filter device (can be tightened with threads), convenient for replacing activated carbon, later considering designing a device that can replace the air duct, with one base adaptable to multiple types

3. Very easy to assemble, just add activated carbon, place the breathable isolation board, and twist on the base

4. The magnet holes (6mm×6mm×3mm) are just the right size, can hold without glue, but they are easily pulled out by the machine when removed, it is recommended to use a little glue to secure the magnets

5. A combination of square and round shapes, with an internal support structure, appears relatively simple and aesthetically pleasing, and integrates well with Bambu Lab machines

III. Precautions

1. Activated carbon must not be powder, activated carbon blocks/balls are recommended, filling it once requires approximately 400g-450g; additionally, activated carbon works by adsorption and needs regular replacement

2. The magnet model is "diameter 6mm thickness 3mm N52 strong magnet", make sure not to use the wrong size

3. The filtering capacity of this device is limited, if you need to print industrial materials like ABS, a ventilation duct should be used!!!

This design went through 7-8 versions of revisions, details were carefully considered, and many samples were printed, this final version was indeed not easy to achieve, I hope it is useful to everyone

All products are original designs. You can print them yourself. Commercial use is not allowed currently (selling at stalls or in online stores is not allowed). However, you will be able to use them for commercial purposes after obtaining commercial authorization. I will research this further once more people like my designs.

To prevent model theft, a small LOGO (the Oracle Bone inscription for "Qiu") is hidden within each model. It is aesthetically pleasing and does not affect usage~

Thank you for supporting original creations!
