The WiperSaver is a project that is as simple as it is functional. I designed it 3 years ago during a CamperVan trip to Nordkapp. I had often read about people whose wipers were stuck to the glass due to extremely low temperatures and the impossibility of keeping them straight and open because of strong winds. The locals in those areas put pieces of wood underneath, but this deforms modern, very thin and delicate blades. At 4.2g per piece, 16.8g for the 4 pieces needed for 2 wipers, they work well on traditional blades and on double blades like BOSCH, more than sufficient for wipers on vans, campers, and small trucks.
The bottom in contact with the glass and the wide interlock mean that if they are forgotten on (I suggest printing in bright colors like orange or red), they will slide on the glass without coming off or causing damage to the glass.
I printed them in simple PLA, and they withstood 2 months of cold and storms in the great North. However, I still suggest PETG or even better ASA.
