Description
1/18 Scale crawler trailer
No hardware required
Please read assembly instructions
This 1/18 scale RC crawler trailer is designed for realistic off-road performance and easy 3D printing. It features independent axles for a tight turning radius and includes multiple trailer variants to suit different setups.
I thoroughly tested them at home, the articulation is quite impressive and also the amount of weight they can haul. The Rc excavator shown in the images weighs 700g wich the trailer handled with ease.
FEATURES
Three variants included:
- Flatbed trailer
- Flatbed trailer with backboard
- Utility trailer
Independent axle design for improved turning radius
Separate tongue design, glued onto the trailer
(No Injora-specific hitch required)
Fully 3D printable
Can be assembled using glue only
Optional hardware recommended for easier maintenance
Compatible with printed or store-bought 1-inch RC tires
MATERIALS
PETG recommended for all axle-related parts for improved durability and wear resistance
PLA used for the remaining parts, though PETG or other materials can also be used depending on your preference
ASSEMBLY
First glue the “Axleholder inner______ and Axleholder outer_____” onto the frame. Note, the inner axle mounts are different form the outer ones. The inner ones are a little bit thicker.
Take some time to clean all the locating pins and holes. It might be necessary to remove a little bit of overhanging material.

After that glue all the deck parts to the frame.
Scrape the contact surfaces of the axle with a sharp knife to ensure smooth rotation
Test-fit the axle holders and spin the axles to check for clearance
Before permanently glueing or bolting the “Axlehoder inner____(1) and Axleholder outer____(1) ” parts into place I put a drop of silicone oil on the axle. Bolt size: 8x 2.5M x 14mm.
Now you can glue or bolt down your rims on the axle. Bolt size: 2x 2.5M x 8-14mm (depending on your rims of choice)
Finally, you can glue the tongue to the end of the tongue brace.
The end result should look similar to the image shown beneath.
If you enjoy this model, a like or a make would be greatly appreciated!

Note
I had a couple of spare tires available and used those for this build. You can also 3D print tires in TPU. There are plenty of options available on this and other platforms.
I highly recommend the following rim model, which I used for my build:
