XL Framed Maryland Flag 11" x 16" No AMS Needed
Print Profile(1)

Description
I wanted to recreate those expensive framed wooden decor pieces I've been seeing online. This printed version measures just over 11"x16". I did add a small 5mm hole in the back of the frame, but now I'm not so sure it's a good idea to try and wall hang it with that.
The Frame is not the best design, the base is a bit flimsy without the flag glued to it. I'm not 100% happy with my frame design, but it serves it's purpose and is optional.

If you do no have AMS, place a pause at layer 52 for plates 1-4…
I did turn on Ironing for Topmost layer on all plates.. Feel free to turn this off if you don't have those parameters dialed in.
Assembly:
I started with gluing the Frame pieces together followed by gluing the color flag pieces.
A. Don't apply glue to the sides of the black checkered squares (they are visible from the sides)

2. Once dried, I decided to “solder weld” the pieces for extra strength. There are several Youtube videos on this topic you can research if you have a soldering iron.. This is optional as Tape + Glue should be good enough. If you haven't done this before, you can practice on failed prints or print some generic squares.

3. Lastly, glue or Tape the assembled Flag to the Frame. I ended up using a hot glue gun to glue the flag to the frame. Double sided Tape or allot of regular glue should be fine.
