Description

7 Januari 2026: Added a nice handle in the same style as the brackets for easy opening and closing of the doors. Easy and super fast print, no supports.

Keep your chickens warm, dry, and comfortable year-round with these 3D printable chicken coop window brackets.
This design securely fixes and holds plastic window panels in place, preventing drafts, rain ingress, and wind exposure—especially during cold, wet, or snowy conditions.

These brackets are ideal for DIY chicken coops, retrofits, or seasonal upgrades. They provide a firm and reliable mounting solution without complicated hardware, making them perfect for both permanent installations and removable winter panels.

Key Benefits

  • Weather protection – Shields chickens from rain, wind, cold, and snow
  • Secure fixation – Keeps plastic window panels firmly in place
  • Chicken-safe design – No sharp edges, coop-friendly geometry
  • Easy to print – No supports required (depending on orientation)
  • DIY friendly – Works with common plastic sheets (PVC, acrylic, polycarbonate)
  • Durable – Designed for outdoor use with suitable filament

Recommended Printing Settings

  • Material: PETG or ASA (I used Eryone PETG-CF, nice and cheap filament that prints wonderful on the Bambulab)
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 15%
  • Perimeters: 3+ for strength
  • Orientation: Flat on the build plate

Installation Notes

  • Use standard screws suitable for wood (preferably stainless steel)
  • Can be spaced as needed depending on window size
  • Suitable for fixed or removable panels (e.g. seasonal winter windows)

Whether you are upgrading an existing coop or building a new one, these brackets offer a simple, printable, and effective solution to improve chicken comfort and coop durability.

If you find this design useful, a like or download is greatly appreciated—and feel free to share photos of your coop setup!
