Happy Pony

Inspired by a photo of a friend who loves horse riding and her pony companion. The pony's smile is so infectious

Ears, tail, mane, hooves, teeth, and eyes can all be colored individually. Red and black look very cool, pink and white look very dreamy, and big gold teeth also have a unique charm. The more colors, the longer the printing time [dog head]

--------Split Version Instructions--------

1. To ensure the strength of the connectors, the pony's overall size has been increased, but the total printing time has been significantly reduced (color changes are indeed the most time-consuming). Currently, the total printing time for a single print is approximately 6 hours

2. For easier assembly, the body and teeth are not separated. If different colors are used for the teeth and body, an AMS is required

3. Currently, only PLA material has been tested. Printing with other materials (with different sinkage rate) may not result in a precise fit

--------Assembly Instructions--------

1. The four hooves are marked, L for left and R for right. The letter facing the front of the pony indicates the default orientation

2. The front hooves are higher than the back hooves

3. The flat side of the eyes faces down, the thinner part of the whites faces inward (towards the nose), and the thicker part of the whites faces outward. After aligning, some force is needed, tap with a small hammer, and miracles will happen with great force

4. Install the eyes first, then the hair, and finally the ears

2026.1.4 During the second printing, spaghetti occurred in the tail support, so the support type was changed to organic tree, which has a larger contact surface with the build plate

2026.1.5 The teeth were locally thickened for more strength and easier printing. Interlocking beams were enabled to make the connection points more reliable

2026.1.7 The eyeball model was redone to be rounder and more beautiful. Line spacing and top surface patterns were optimized to reduce layer lines. Leg density was increased for more strength

2026.1.12 Components were separated to support printing individual parts (non-AMS)

2026.1.13 Adjusted the orientation of the ears in the split version to protect the connecting parts from support interference

2026.1.15 The hooves and connectors for the split version were re-modeled to be more aesthetically pleasing and robust. Tolerances for parts like the eyes were adjusted for easier assembly. The number of outer walls was set to 3, with special reinforcement for the lower limbs (6 walls), making them more robust

2026.2.3 Optimized the plate arrangement for AMS, ready in 2 plates

2026.2.20 In response to feedback from Bambu friends, the head and body were separated. Non-white pony bodies can save material, but there will be seams
