🧽 Scraper for acrylic aquariums (acrylic-safe scraper)

This model is a scraper specifically designed for acrylic aquariums, avoiding the use of metal blades that can irreversibly scratch this material. It is intended to offer effective cleaning of algae and dirt without compromising the transparency of the acrylic.

🔧 Scraping system

The scraper does not use commercial blades. For its correct use, you have two options:

1. Acrylic blade (recommended)
   You must cut an acrylic sheet with the following exact dimensions:
   4 mm (thickness) × 20 mm (height) × 93 mm (length)
   This piece is inserted directly into the front slot of the scraper, remaining firmly held for scraping.
2. 3D printed blade
   Alternatively, you can print a blade in a less aggressive material, such as PETG or ABS, for an even gentler cleaning. This option is ideal for frequent maintenance or especially delicate acrylics.

⚠️ Important: the use of hard or metallic materials for the blade is not recommended, as they can scratch the acrylic.

🖨️ Printing materials

The scraper is designed to work in humid and submerged environments, so PLA is NOT recommended.

Recommended materials:

• PETG
• ABS
• ASA

👉 The model is configured and tested in PETG HF, offering an excellent balance between mechanical resistance, durability, and water performance.

🧠 Usage recommendations

• Make sure the blade (acrylic or printed) has clean, burr-free edges.
• Clean any sand particles before scraping to avoid micro-scratches.
• Ideal for large acrylic aquariums where traditional magnets don't reach well.
