Description
You will find 2 print profiles. The default one without magnets, and the 2nd one with space to insert an internal with a pause on layer 19. The pieces are designed such that the magnet is exactly central and will work when using either side, chess or checkers. The profile is set up to take 10mm x 3mm magnets such that they fit exactly and don't rattle. These are the magnets used in the project: 20pcs 10x3mm neodymium bar magnets 10 3mm - Temu United Kingdom. If you are using other magnets you may have to make adjustments accordingly, but this can be easily edited within Bambu Studio.
For this project I only used the tools available in Bambu Studio, creating a primitive shape, adding a negative, and adding an SVG modifier to superimpose the image of the chess piece. It was great to see how quickly and easily a whole chess set could be produced without using any modelling software.
I plan to create a version 2 and would love your feedback on any detail or features you think I should add to improve the overall design.
