Then check out this AMS HT extended desiccant storage mod. It significantly expands the desiccant storage capacity inside your AMS HT and enables the use of multiple modular add-ons.

AMS HT Extended Desiccant Storage – Key Features

• Up to 3× more desiccant storage than Version 1 (with optional large boxes)
• Secure, bottom-loaded design for stable installation
• Modular system with optional expansion boxes
• Custom configuration (e.g. left: Box Large, right: Box Medium or none)
• No disassembly required for installation or upgrades
• Optional annealing tray for heat treatment
• Funnel mounted on the outside for easier filling
• Optional PTFE tube protection for the AMS inlet

Annealing Add-on - Key Features

• Can be used without removing desiccant boxes
• Simply placed on top of the installed module
• Optional support pins for improved airflow
• Tray geometry acts as an airflow guide for better circulation
• Enables simultaneous drying and annealing
• Full airflow circulation inside the AMS HT

Assembly:

Assembly – Extended Desiccant Storage

• Print the body and 4 covers (lid)
• Optional: print the funnel for easier filling
• Fill the body with desiccant, close it with the covers, and insert it into the AMS HT

With optional expansion boxes (e.g. Box Large):

• Place the boxes into the grooves on the body
• Secure each box using 4 connectors (2 outer, 2 inner)
• Boxes are rotation-proof and cannot be installed incorrectly
• Left and right boxes use the same file

Removing the boxes:

• Gently wiggle the outer connectors to release them
• Alternatively, push connectors out through the rear access holes
• Inner connectors can be released by slightly twisting the box inward
• Tool-free removal is possible (tools optional)

Assembly – Annealing Insert

• Place the annealing insert directly on top of the installed desiccant mod
• No removal of boxes, connectors, or drying components required
• Insert sits securely in position
• Printed parts can be placed on the insert for annealing using the AMS HT drying function
• Airflow continues to circulate freely inside the AMS HT

Filling:

To fill the container, the cover must be removed. Then, insert the funnel into the rail system and fill with desiccant.

Finally, push the cover back in place to prevent any desiccant from falling out.

Printing Recommendation:

Since the AMS HT can heat up to 85°C, a material with high temperature resistance such as ABS/ASA or even higher is recommended!

PETG can be used when drying materials at temperatures up to 65 °C.

Extended Desiccant Storage

• No internal supports are required, which would be difficult to remove. 
• Use the recommended pressure profile.
• For prints like ABS / ASA or similar materials that exhibit warping or poor print bed adhesion, I recommend using a brim! (optional glue)

Annealing / Heat Treatment:

When using the annealing insert, parts can be heat-treated using the AMS HT drying function.

• I recommend printing with ABS/ASA or materials with higher softening temperatures!
• PETG can be used, but it should not be dried or annealed above 65°C.
• For prints like ABS / ASA or similar materials that exhibit warping or poor print bed adhesion, I recommend using a brim! (optional glue)

Annealing results depend on the material, temperature, and part geometry.

  • The funnel is attached to the outside instead of the inside. This means the opening for filling is no longer smaller than the lid, making filling easier
  • The model is more stable and exhibits less warping during printing
  • PTFE tubes can be used to protect the AMS inlet
  • The rail system has been improved. More stable
  • Wall geometry (dimensions) changed for better prints
  • New connectors make the structure more stable for large boxes and reduces deformation  after drying at high-temperatures
  • New connectors can also be pushed out from the back

  • An additional strut integrated into the body reinforces the model and reduces deformation after drying at high temperatures
