💡 The Origin Story: From Dinking to Volleying

This design was born out of frustration on both sides of the net! As an avid pickleball player, I struggled to find a spot where my phone wouldn't fall over or shake when trying to analyze my dinks. I realized the net was the most stable, most central point. The initial design, the "Dink Cam," was a huge hit, but friends on the tennis court immediately saw the potential.

The tennis net presents a slightly different challenge with its thicker reinforcing cable. I went back to the CAD program (Fusion 360) and refined the clamping jaw to accommodate the greater thickness of the tennis net's top band while maintaining a secure grip on the pickleball net's standard size. This new, beefed-up Pro-Cam Clip is the result—a single, universal solution for two of the fastest-growing racquet sports. This is my way of giving back a functional, game-changing tool to the entire court-sports community!

⚙️ Printing & Assembly Tips

Recommended Print Settings

• Filament: PETG is highly recommended. Its blend of durability, UV resistance (for sunny days on the court), and slight flexibility for the clamping mechanism makes it ideal. If using PLA, consider printing an enclosure for outdoor use.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm for a good balance of speed and detail.
• Infill: 30% or higher using a strong pattern like Grid, Gyroid, or Cubic. This model needs to withstand potential impacts and clamping forces.
• Supports: Minimal supports needed. The design is optimized for FDM, but check the overhang on the underside of the clamping jaw in your slicer. If needed, tree/organic supports are perfect for easy removal.
• Orientation: Print the main body standing upright to maximize the layer strength along the clamping axis.

Assembly (If Multi-Part)

• The design is a two-piece assembly.
• The clamp body mates with a small tightening/locking bolt or lever piece.
• Secure the two parts using a small M3 or M4 bolt and nut (hardware not 3D printed) to create the adjustable pivot/tightening mechanism. This small hardware ensures maximum longevity and a secure, non-slip angle adjustment.
