š§¹ Dyson Wall Mount Accessory Holder š§
Tired of accessory holders that don't match the premium look of your Dyson or don't fit the new Gen5 connectors? I designed this custom wall mount system to look like an original Dyson part while solving the compatibility issues found in other models.
This system consists of two specialized versions:
- Short Version: perfect for all non-motorized (passive) tools.
- Long Version: specifically designed for motorized heads (especially the Gen5 series), providing enough clearance and the correct fit for the new pin layout.
Both versions can be printed as a left or right side mount ā the side is set by which side you insert the locking filament into.
š Innovative locking system
No magnets or glue required! The system uses a two-part design:
- A small base insert is screwed into the wall.
- The main holder slides onto this base.
- Filament lock: simply insert a small piece of 1.75mm filament into the side hole to lock the two parts together. This gives a rock-solid fit that can still be easily disassembled in the future without damaging the mount.
ā Compatibility guide
1. Passive tools (Short Mount)
- Full compatibility: fits all "Red Click" tools from Dyson V7, V8, V10, V11, V12, V15, and Gen5.
- Includes: crevice tools, dusting brushes, upholstery tools, etc.
2. Motorized heads (Long Mount)
- Gen5 specific: optimized for the Gen5Detect motorized heads.
- Note: Dyson changed the electrical pin layout for the Gen5 series. While passive tools remain cross-compatible, motorized heads from older models (V11/V15) will not fit this Gen5-specific long mount and vice versa.
š” Only have an older Dyson? The short mount for passive tools still works across V7 through Gen5 ā it's just the motorized-head long mount that's Gen5-specific.
