Main Description:

This sofa leg riser is a practical, 3D Printed solution designed to elevate your existing sofa or armchair by a few centimeters, offering two main benefits: facilitating the passage of a robot vacuum cleaner under the furniture and improving seating comfort by making it slightly higher

The design is simple, robust, and functional, with a structure that securely attaches to the original sofa leg using a secure interlocking system (adaptable to standard legs of common diameter, check your model's dimensions). Made of PLA, an ecological and resistant material, this additional leg ensures stability and durability over time, supporting household weights without problems

Key Features:

  • Additional Height: Increases the sofa's height by 6 cm, raising the clearance under the sofa to approximately 12.5 cm, allowing your home cleaning robot to navigate freely under furniture for more efficient cleaning
  • Improved Comfort: A slightly higher seat makes the relaxation experience more ergonomic, ideal for those seeking a more comfortable position without having to replace furniture
  • Easy Installation: Attaches directly to the existing leg without complex tools – simply print, lift the sofa, and insert it into the existing leg
  • Material: Standard PLA, printable on any FDM 3D printer. We recommend an infill of 20-30% for optimal robustness
  • Minimalist Design: Clean and functional shapes, without unnecessary frills, for a discreet aesthetic that integrates with any decor

The Vimle sofa has two sizes of legs. This extension pairs with the IKEA sofa leg D.75x65

It therefore mounts on:

2 pieces for each armrest

If you also need the medium leg for the IKEA VIMLE sofa that raises ottomans, chaise longues, and corner elements. Go to this link

I tested it on the VIMLE model, I don't rule out that IKEA sofa legs are often the same. In case, please let me know so I can update the description for other sofa models as well

Video of the assembly of the medium leg version (but the concept is the same)

I have a 3-seater Vimle... do you think PLA with 30% infill would be enough, or maybe go with PETG?

Hello, go ahead with the settings I gave you, at most print 1 to see how resistant and rigid it is, pla is ideal for me for this use, obviously petg is also fine, but aesthetically I prefer matte pla

Thanks for the awesome model Xtreme73! Just wanted to point out that the hyperlink to the middle size leg is not working. Makerworld is mentioned 2 times in the url causing a bad redirect

Hello, thank you for the compliments, I hope the model is useful to you as it has been to me and that the description and assembly videos are very clear. Thank you for reporting this, I tried to test the problem you are talking about from my PC, but it works for me, by clicking on the link it takes me to the correct link, I tried to copy and paste the link and I have this address https://makerworld.com/en/models/2188465-ikea-vimle-sofa-riser-foot-medium#profileId-2375947, just to be sure I also tried to do the opposite, from medium foot to large and it works there too. If there is something I am missing, please let me know. I clicked on the green part of the description, you will see it in your language (see image below)

Ah, I think I see where the problem comes from. I use auto translate to translate your description from Italian to English. The Auto translate ruins the hyperlink (see bottom left corner). I've printed 8 legs for my GRÖNLID couch (which uses the medium legs) and it has been fantastic. No issues whatsoever and we enjoy the raised height alot! Thanks again for the model :)
