Description
Knockie - A compact espresso knock box with a removable magnetic tray.
Designed for easy handling with a lip to prevent overspray after knocking, a removable bar and not to mention a removable magnetic tray for easy cleaning. With a lower lip in the front, you can also knock using the portafilter neck while still having a compact profile.
It uses 24 round 4x2 mm neodymium magnets - 2 stacked top on each other. The holes are press fit - superglue can be used as needed. Cork or rubber pad can be added to the tray for preventing sliding.
The footprint of the knox box is 140x110 mm with max height of 92 mm.
Print profiles
Sturdy: 3 walls for top and tray - 4 walls and 25% infill for the bar.
Normal: 2 walls for top and tray - 3 walls and 25% infill for the bar.
1 or 3 plates for accommodating smaller bed sizes and/or quality.
Filaments
PLA or PETG. PETG is recommended for better durability, however, I am using PLA without issues.
