Description

Lowered Volador VX3 3D Frame Kit – Top Plate -7mm (Optimized for AIO + DJI O4 Lite)

I designed a set of 3D printable STL models that lower the top plate on the Volador VX3 frame by 7 mm. This mod optimizes the center of gravity (CG) – especially with LiPo batteries mounted. The lower profile delivers better flight stability, sharper maneuvers, and improved responsiveness.

Print Instructions (Bambu Lab / Prusa / any slicer):

  • Material: PETG (recommended for durability) or PLA (for prototypes).
  • Standoffs/spacers: Add 2 grass layers (Bambu Lab) for perfect height fit.
  • Settings: 0.2 mm layer height, 20-30% infill, 3 walls, no supports needed (designed that way).
  • Print time: ~4-6 hours for the full kit (printer-dependent).

STL files ready to go – calibrated for standard Volador VX3 frames. Tested on my AIO 20A + DJI O4 Lite build – flies like a dream!
