Hi, I'm designing these 3D models in my free time (it's just my hobby), always providing all of my designs for free here on Makerworld. Under-Desk Charging Dock for AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) | With Ejection Button

Keep your desk clean and your AirPods fully charged with this mechanical under-desk dock. Designed specifically for the USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2, this mount features a satisfying push-button ejection mechanism that slides the case right into your hand.

✨ Key Features

Satisfying Ejection Mechanism: A 3D printed button on the bottom mechanically pushes the AirPods case upwards, disconnecting it from the cable and sliding it into your hand. Convenient and fun to use!
Precision Fit: Holds the original Apple USB-C cable securely. The AirPods case slides in smoothly and is held in place by the connector.
Versatile Mounting: Can be mounted under your desk using two screws (recommended for stability) or double-sided tape.

⚠️ COMPATIBILITY WARNING ⚠️

This model is designed EXCLUSIVELY for the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C Charging Case. Please DO NOT print this if you have the Lightning version or another AirPods version, it will only fit for that specific version. Even for the lightning version, the connector dimensions are different, and it will not fit correctly.

🖨️ Printing Instructions

Print Profile: Please use my uploaded print profile! It is tested and proven to work perfectly.
Supports: If you slice it yourself, ensure supports are placed correctly.
Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS work great.
Customization: Use a different filament color for the eject button to create a nice accent (as seen in the photos).

🛠️ Assembly & Installation

Insert your original Apple USB-C charging cable into the designated slot inside the printed housing. It is a tight fit to ensure the cable doesn't move.
Insert the button with the “sharp” edge looking towards you.
Mount the dock under your desk using screws or strong double-sided tape.
Slide your AirPods Pro case in to charge.
To remove: simply press the button underneath and make sure to catch it with your hand!

It works really well and I like it. I adjusted it slightly so it fits the AirPods Pro 3.

Nice, good job adjusting it! :) I just received the Airpods Pro 3 from a friend for modeling the version for the Pro 3. Feel free to check it out: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2681956-mechanical-under-desk-charging-dock-airpods-pro-3#profileId-2970387 I took care, that the screw holes are aligned, if someone upgrades from Pods 1/2 to 3 :) Maybe tolerances are a little better then :) Or stick to your version, totally fine as well.

I think your version will be better than mine, but I’m using a cable with a much thicker and longer connector, so I have to stick with my design. Still, it’s really cool that you’ve now released it for the AirPods Pro 3. :)

This is a brilliant design—that ejection button is so satisfying. Do you have any plans to adapt this for the AirPods 3 (USB-C)? It's the only thing missing from my desk!

Hi, sorry I don't think I will be releasing a lightning version, as I rather have the newer versions in my backlog already. You can download the .stl though and adjust slightly to your needs.

Hi, I printed your Lightning version but I am confused as the hole seems too small for the Lightning cables I have. I am wondering if I am confused as it is just the standard USB-C to Lightning cable that came with the Airpods. Did you make it for a specific cable that is different?
