Description

Some of you may know my Rainwater Collector Designs - I've got a lot of requests for other sizes/ dimensions to fit other downpipe diameter.

It took quite a while - why? Cause a change of the diameter requires a lot of changes on the whole Model, so it is near to a redesign of the complete Model.

So I start with a size that was requested the Most: 80mm Diameter.

Please note: I don't have a Rainwater Management System/ Downpipe with this measurement. So I was not able to test it so far. I used data sheets from the Internet to find the Measurements - so please tell me if something wont fit and don't rate the model bad.

It was important to me to have a connection for a 50mm HT pipe, as this allows a lot of water to be drained away, which is not possible with the hose connections that are often used.

I tinkered for a long time to adapt the design so that as much water as possible could be collected. This is ensured by the large collection area.

Also the Design is Flow optimized, all relevant Edges are rounded carefully and the Lip at the Top of the collection area is made to make sure the water goes into the collector.

I made two Sizes with different Inlet Diameters:

  • 36mm for maximum Rain Collection
  • 46mm for a little less Rain Collection but more Headroom for extreme Water flushes.

The inlet diameter reduces the maximum diameter of the downpipes! Therefore, please ensure that you do not cause the rain gutter to overflow!

This applies to both versions. If in doubt, use the 46 mm version for greater safety.

The 36 mm version will collect slightly more rain, but with a further reduced downpipe opening. This is only recommended for downpipes without dirt ingress.

Please note: You must ensure yourself that the reduced inner diameter is sufficient to reliably drain water even in extreme cases of heavy rain. This applies to both versions!
