Railing holder for storage compartment caravan 8mm aluminum

This railing holder transforms simple storage shelves in a caravan into a secure, high-quality looking shelf with fall protection. Stored items reliably remain in place, even if the manufacturer did not provide a railing.

Idea and Application Area

• Developed for caravan or motorhome shelves where existing boards have no front security.
• In combination with a hollow 8 mm aluminum rod (anodized, e.g., from a hardware store), a stable and visually appealing railing is created.
• Ideal for small dishes, cans, decorations, tissue boxes, or other items that should not fall down.

Components of the Set

• Side holder: For the end at the edge of the shelf, where the tube is inserted from the side.
• Middle holder: Printable as often as desired to support the railing along its entire length.
• End cap: For a clean finish of the tube when it cannot be extended over the full length of the board (e.g., due to a flap).

Printing and Assembly

• The number of holders can be flexibly adapted to your shelf length and load.
• Additionally, a drilling aid is included, which is held under the board to pre-drill the holes cleanly.
• After screwing the holders, the 8 mm rod is inserted, cut to desired length if necessary, and sealed with the end cap.
• I put a small amount of superglue into the side holder and the end cap for safety. It holds wonderfully and has been successfully in use for 2 years.
