Pocket Ski Ice Scraper - Packable Field Tool
Print Profile(1)

Description
A simple, pocket sized ski scraper for clearing snow and ice buildup from skis in the field. Designed for both alpine and XC skis, including scaled XC bases where packed snow can quickly become a problem.
Inspired by photos of the Altai Ski Scraper, this card style tool is easy to stash in a pocket or clip to your pack. It works especially well for scraping ice and wet snow off skis while on track or when loading gear back into the car.
The small slot allows you to add a loop of cord so it can hang from a pack, belt loop, or ski bag for quick access.
Card dimensions are 3.5 in (89 mm) x 2.5 in (64 mm) x 4.5 mm thick.
Slight variation from initial photos. The blocked pattern on top edge was centered to the slot so the cord can self-center. The notched top corner is great for scraping metal edged skis.
Settings
Printed in PETG during testing, which works well for general use. Stronger or stiffer filaments may help the beveled edge hold up longer, especially with frequent scraping. It is likely not suitable for removing wax, though I have not tested that use case.
- Filament: PETG
- Layer Height: 0.20mm

- Infill: 15% Grid
Customization
The embossed icon can be easily swapped in your slicer. Feel free to personalize it with your own logo or graphic.

Customizing the Embossed SVG in Bambu Studio
- Open the model in Bambu Studio.
- In the right panel, expand the Objects list and locate the embossed SVG or logo object.
- Select the SVG object, then use Delete to remove it if you want to replace it.
- Import your own SVG using File → Import → Import SVG, or drag the SVG file directly into the workspace.
- With the SVG selected, adjust Scale, Rotation, and Position so it sits correctly on the card surface.
- Use Move → Z to set the emboss depth so it slightly intersects the card face (default is 1mm).
- Slice and preview to confirm the emboss looks correct before printing.
Tip: Simple, high contrast SVGs with clean paths emboss more clearly than highly detailed graphics.
If you print this, I would love to hear how it performs for your ski setup. Drop a comment with your filament choice or any tweaks you make. Photos and feedback help improve future versions and help other makers decide how to print it.
