Description

Modular Furniture Leg System — Fixed & Height-Adjustable Versions

This is a 3D-printable furniture leg system designed for DIY furniture projects like stools, ottomans, small tables, benches, and stands — available in multiple configurations:

Height-Adjustable Versions (ACME threaded mechanism | Min Height: 20mm & Max Height: Around 36mm):

  • Standard
  • Straight Knurled

Note: Each Version Features Two Pieces: The Cover (the part that you turn and moves) and The Base (the part that is screwed in). The base can be used interchangeably between the Standard and Straight Knurled Version.

Fixed-Height Versions (These are exact replicas of the legs used in my Ottoman Stools):

  • Dual-screw mount (29.5mm height)
  • Single-screw mount (13mm height)

The height-adjustable versions use ACME 3D-printed threads as they have a high load capacity and have strong self-locking capabilities so they seldom slip. The fixed versions offer a simpler but strong alternative for permanent installation while reducing filament cost.

Assembly:

  1. Place a 22mm Round Felt Furniture Pad on the top hole of the cover piece
  2. Place the base on the desired location and face the screw-height-indicator (the indented or missing section on the ACME screw) outwards/a direction that can be easily viewed
  3. Screw the base to the furniture frame using any M3 or M4 Flat-Head Screw(s)
  4. Screw the cover over the base all the way down and up (It may be difficult the first time). Do this around 5-10 times to break in the threads and make turning smooth
  5. Set the cover to the desired height using the Screw-height-Indicator
  6. Repeat for the remaining legs to ensure the seating is level
