HBN Smart Wifi Outdoor Plug wall mounting bracket

This is a custom-designed mounting bracket for the HBN Smart WiFi Outdoor Plug (Model: CP-A86WT). While these smart plugs are excellent and affordable for outdoor automation, the original housing lacks any integrated mounting holes or "keyhole" slots. This bracket solves that problem by providing a simple wall-mountable frame that locks the smart powerboard in place.

Key Features

• Specifically designed for the CP-A86WT chassis.
• Two 4mm diameter screw holes for secure attachment to walls, fences, or posts.
• Friction-fit clip system to hold the powerboard.

Important Notes on Fitment

• This is a tight-fit design. You must firmly press the plug into the bracket until it is fully seated.
• It is not designed for frequent insertion and removal. Please ensure your placement is correct before snapping the plug in.
• Recommended to mount the bracket so the screw holes are at the upper edge.
• A cable clip or clips are recommended to hold the power cable if this mount was to fail, so the powerboard doesn't fall.

Recommended Print Settings

• Material: PETG is highly recommended if the plug will be used outdoors or in direct sunlight. PLA is fine for indoor/garage use, which is what I used.
• Walls: 3–4 loops for strength around the screw holes.
• Infill: 15–20% (Gyroid recommended).
• Supports: Print upright, with tree supports, so that the layer lines don't create failure points in the arms.
