Description

Leafeon Ball

Leafeon (Japanese: リーフィア Leafia) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

It evolves from Eevee when leveled up near a Moss Rock or when exposed to a Leaf Stone.

(Specifics may differ in past games. Refer to Game data→Evolution data for these details.)

It is one of Eevee's final forms, the others being Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, and Sylveon.

Custom Leafeon - Inspired Poké Ball:

This custom Poké Ball is inspired by Leafeon . The design incorporates the inner mechanism created by MrFozzie, while I used Fusion 360 to create the top and bottom shells. All parts are designed to be printed in a single color and glued together—no AMS is required.

Improvements Over the Original Design:

  • The hinge mechanism has been simplified and optimized for printing in place.

  • Inner and outer button designs were modified to eliminate overhangs, enabling support-free printing.

  • The print profile was designed for easy printing, with increased perimeters on the hinge for greater durability.

  • Supports and seams were manually added for better results.

Features and Options:

  • The outer parts feature variable layer heights for a smoother finish.

  • Two hinge versions are available: a print-in-place hinge and a separate hinge. Choose the version that best suits your needs.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. View the Assembly Mechanism: Refer to the video of the original Poké Ball's design for detailed guidance.

  2. Glue Components:

    • Attach the top and bottom pieces to the hinge mechanism.

    • The piece with a hole in the button mechanism should go on the top.

    • The button does not need to be glued. Insert it into the ring, then glue the ring to the hinge mechanism.

Final Product Features:

This fully functional Poké Ball is designed to replicate the real thing as closely as possible. It uses only 3D-printed parts and super glue to create:

  • A hinge that opens to 90 degrees and locks securely, mirroring the authentic mechanism.

  • A button that hides its mechanism for added realism.

  • Notches and grooves in the parts to ensure perfect alignment during assembly.

MULTIPART - NO AMS
Another great creation. No particular problems to report for this model. Some custom supports were added to limit errors on certain vertical parts, but overall everything went well. Assembly is also easy. Thank you for sharing.

Could you possibly share the files in which you added the supports cause I had a problem where 1 ear was tried to be printed without support and it wasted a lot of filament

I shrunk it down to 80% as the original is a bit big and it’s perfect. it doesn’t open very easily but that doesn’t bother me as I just wanted it as a display ornament.
