🏠 Gutter Hooks for LED String Lights (No Drilling!)

To attach my LED string lights – without drilling through the gutter and without sacrificing new cable ties every year – I designed these gutter hooks.

The outer bead of my gutter is approximately 20 mm.
In this revised version, the hooks have a small additional edge so that the string lights don't simply decide to take a vacation even in windy conditions.

For an LED string light approximately 10 m long, I used about 15 hooks – depending on taste, gutter type, and safety needs, one more hook is certainly allowed 😉

🔧 Printing Notes:

  • Recommended Material: PETG or ASA (for outdoor use)
  • PLA: possible, but only conditionally weather and UV resistant
  • Support: not necessary

I printed the hooks in PLA (silver) so that they remain as inconspicuous as possible on the gutter. The filament was still lying around – and since the hooks are removed again after about 5 weeks and only briefly exposed to UV light, PLA was allowed this time 😉

⚠️ Note:

The hooks are designed for light LED string lights.

I have only used them on a galvanized gutter so far.
Not suitable for heavy cables, hoses, or ambitious climbing attempts. 😉
