Description

I love magnets, I love a proper press fit, and I really love Wera tools. This handle makes pressing magnets in clean, controlled, and oddly satisfying.

Designed as part of an ongoing collection of core maker tools and accessories. Each model is conceived, printed, and tested where it actually matters, in daily workshop use. Iterated until it behaves, not until it looks finished. Precision is not assumed here, it earns its place over time.

Tool Collection: Maker Accessories ⧸ Core Tools

Follow me if these tools earn a permanent place on your workbench. A like or a boost directly supports further testing and new designs driven by daily use, not trends.

Before printing this, clean your build plate. Use an adhesion aid if you have one. The model is printed upright and works reliably for me this way, even without a brim.

The tool uses a M8 hex bolt, about 16 to 50 mm long, screwed directly into the handle. Make sure it is steel, not stainless, because the bolt is what holds the magnet during pressing.

Pick up the magnet with the bolt, align it with the hole in the model, and press it in with confidence. Tight tolerances, clean alignment, and that perfect press fit feeling. Oh yes, we like those tight holes, filled with magnets.

This model prints best with AMS using multicolor. A Bambu Lab H2D or H2C is ideal for handling all three colors smoothly.

The design benefits especially from TPU for AMS as the third filament. When the third color is printed in TPU, the first two colors should be PETG or another compatible filament.

With TPU, the third color becomes true function rather than deco, creating the best grip for your Tools.

Boost Me (for free)

Support for this model helps fund 3D printing in a local school in Lower Saxony, Germany. Contributions go toward printers and filament for student maker and robotics clubs, including preparation for "Jugend forscht" competitions. Likes, follows, and boosts help increase visibility and indirectly support hands-on technical education.

Translation Notice: I am not a native English speaker. I write all descriptions in English to ensure the best automated translation into other languages. To make the text smoother and more readable, I use language tools to refine my wording.

Bill of Materials Notice: Hero Shot models are usually printed in Bambu Lab PLA Basic, primarily Pumpkin Orange, Purple and Matte Charcoal Black. The Bill of Materials contains the recommended filament for the model, which may differ from the filament used for the photos.

Purchases made via the BOM support my work through the Maker World Commission Incentive at no extra cost to you.
