Description

This is a minimal, modern vertical stand designed specifically for MacBook Air, ideal for clean desk setups and external-monitor (clamshell) workflows.

 

The stand is intentionally compact at 5 inches long, keeping your desk footprint small while still securely supporting your MacBook Air in an upright position. The soft fillets and simple geometry give it a clean, modern look while remaining easy to print and strong enough for daily use.

  • The internal slot width is 0.76 inches
  • Designed to fit:
    • MacBook Air M2
    • MacBook Air M3
    • MacBook Air M4

The slot width intentionally allows room for felt or furniture padding to protect the MacBook and improve grip.

I used adhesive furniture felt padding (linked below), trimmed to size and applied to both vertical interior surfaces and the base surface where the MacBook’s weight rests

With padding applied, the fit is snug and secure, prevents scratches, reduces movement, and gives the stand a more premium finished feel. The MacBook slides in smoothly while staying firmly in place.

🧵 Filament Recommendations

  • PLA, PLA+, or PETG all work well
  • Matte filaments look especially good for a clean, modern aesthetic
