Straight off the printer, the Matrix Fidget is intentionally locked. To unlock it, tap the fidget a few times firmly on a table. This releases the internal ball inside the bearing, as shown in the included Clip. After a few gentle movements, the axis loosens naturally and begins to rotate smoothly and freely.

The interaction is calm and deliberate. No rattling, no noise, no visual overload. Just a clean mechanical motion that keeps your fingers busy while your focus remains undisturbed.
