Description

This 3D-printable sun hood (glare shield) is designed for the Garmin GPSMAP 8410 and 8610 chartplotter models.

It helps reduce reflections and improve screen readability in bright sunlight, making it especially useful for marine environments.

The model is provided in two different versions to suit various 3D printer types:

Split version – designed to be glued or welded after printing. Optimized for A1 / P1 and X1 series printers.

One-piece version – a single solid part intended for H2 printers.

The design does not require any support structures, making it easy to print and reducing post-processing time.

For best durability and heat resistance, PETG or more robust materials are strongly recommended.

This sun hood was created at the request of another user. Please note that the final fit must be verified by the user, as I do not own the Garmin GPSMAP 8410 or 8610 and therefore could not physically test the mounting and exact part fit.

Important Notes

No supports required

Recommended materials: PETG, ASA, ABS, or other durable filaments

Mounting fit has not been physically tested

Designed specifically for Garmin GPSMAP 8410 / 8610
