Description

Boost Me (for free)

Hope you enjoy! feel free to boost me.

Santa's Little Helper (SLH) pairs well with the 5 inch Simpsons figures from Jakks Pacific; hopefully you’ll find it scales well with your collection.  NOTE: This is the Simpsons family dog only – you can find Homer in stores.

NOTES:

  1. Recommend printing the neck peg in PETG – during test designs I found PLA too weak and could break off in the holes.  PETG has held up well.  if the peg is too tight, scale it down by 1%
  2. The legs can come loose, but this allows for better articulation/ rotation.  Just push them back into the socket.  Remember, PLA can degrade over time especially on moving parts – the more you move the legs, the looser they may get.
  3. A negative cylinder was used on the back leg slots on the body – if you need to re-orient the body, be aware you need to move these as well.
  4. Feet are slightly embedded into the print bed – this kept them flatter so he’s more stable (this is already set in the file, but you may want to double check).

Printed using Elegoo PLA+ Brown (colour matched well for SLH and had a little more strength for the rotation of the parts).  PLA will get loose over time with repeated friction due to movement of joints.
