Overview This 3D printable utility knife is designed for hobbyists and makers who demand precision and reliability. Unlike standard cutters, this model features a secure snap-fit locking system and superior ergonomics, making it a perfect tool for scale modeling, paper craft, and DIY projects.

Key Features:

  • Universal Blade Compatibility: Designed to fit standard hobby scalpel blades (available here: Replacement Blades Link).

  • Snap-Fit Mechanism: The blade snaps directly into the internal slider. A flexible tab with a dedicated locking pin secures the blade's eyelet, ensuring it stays firmly in place without wobbling during use.

  • Smart Side-Tab Design: Both the back cap and the slider are equipped with flexible side tabs. This allows you to:

    1. Easily insert or remove components for quick blade changes.

    2. Ensure a smooth, guided movement of the slider within the body.

  • Multi-Position Lock: The integrated indexing system allows you to extend the blade partially and lock it safely in multiple positions depending on your cutting needs.

Print Settings:

  • Material: PLA+ or PETG are recommended for better durability of the flexible tabs.

  • Orientation: Print parts on their side to maximize the mechanical strength of the sliding mechanism.

  • Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm for optimal tolerances.

  • Infill: 20-30% (Gyroid recommended).

  • Support: normal media only from the print bed
