- Pool noodle x 1: need a section 70-75mm long with a 25mm hole in the middle of it
Description
This is a 3D printable adapter that lets you mount an action camera to a standard Scotty Lock base, with an integrated float so your camera won’t sink if it’s dropped in the water.
The mount uses the Scotty Lock anti-rotation spline interface so it positively locks into the base and can’t spin while paddling or fishing. The float section (pool noodle / foam cylinder) slides over the post and is trapped between the flanges, keeping the camera and mount buoyant if it comes loose
Parts required
- Printed mount (this file)
- Small section of pool noodle or foam (approx. 70-75 mm long with 25mm core hole)
- 1/4-20 camera screw or action camera thumb screw
- Optional safety tether cord
Printing notes
- Material: PETG or ASA recommended for outdoor / UV resistance
- 0.6 mm nozzle, 0.28 mm layer height works well
- 4–5 walls and 40% infill for strength
Designed for kayaks, fishing kayaks, boats, and other watercraft using Scotty mounting systems
There are 2 designs for the lock there as temu mounts seem to use a much bigger design then most normal scotty locks
