A tribute to the Gobi Desert's most famous predator, preserved in stone.

"The Excavated Hunter" captures the agile and deadly Velociraptor in a moment of stillness. Modeled to resemble a professional museum preparation, this display piece features the skeleton curled in the classic "death pose" common to dromaeosaurid fossils found in the Djadochta Formation. The delicate vertebrae, long tail, and iconic skull are partially emerged from the rock matrix, creating a sophisticated desktop sculpture for the paleontology enthusiast who values scientific aesthetic over toy-like action figures.

Material & Craftsmanship

Designed to simulate a fossil being cleared from limestone or sandstone, this model shines when printed in matte white or bone-colored PLA. As seen in the reference print, the natural shadows generated by the deep relief create a stunning visual without any painting required. The matte finish gives it the weight and appearance of a plaster jacket or carved alabaster.

Printing Protocol

To capture the fine details of the vertebrae and skull without compromising the "rock" texture, follow these settings.

That's exactly what I came to the comments looking for. I want to print the small version of the velociraptor to go with the small TRex I already printed, but can't find the file for the small one.
