Utimate Knobs for the Roland Aira Serie
Print Profile(1)

Description
Note: I am not the designer of the original knob model. I commented on the original designer’s post to propose this version, which integrates a colored insert (and therefore requires an AMS), but I did not receive any response. As several people asked me for this variant, I’m taking the liberty of posting it here. I strongly encourage you to also check out the original design, which is linked here : https://makerworld.com/en/models/1539968-trim-pot-knob-for-roland-aira-series-pocket-synths?from=search#profileId-1616080
I remain fully available to the original designer: I would be happy to post this version as an official Remix of their work, or to remove it entirely if this causes any issue.
This model provides practical and comfortable knobs for Roland AIRA series synthesizers.
They have been tested with the T-8 and the J-6, and should also work with the other devices in the AIRA range.
Compared to the original design, this version has a slightly tighter fit. The knobs can still be removed by pulling them off carefully, but they require a bit more force when installing. This tighter fit helps ensure that your settings stay in place and don’t shift unintentionally during use.
IMPORTANT 1 : Because the object is very small, achieving the perfect fit to your liking strongly depends on your printer, its calibration, and the material used. For my own setup, I reduced the scale to 98.75% of the original design (see photo). This may not suit everyone if you find the fit too tight. I strongly recommend running tests on a single knob first to find the scale that works best for you.
IMPORTANT 2 : make sure to adjust the X and Y scale equally to preserve the correct shape of the knob.
I suggest making small adjustments, in steps of 0.10% or 0.20%, until you reach your optimal fit.
The knobs print very well with a 0.4 mm nozzle, provided you follow the recommended print profile, especially regarding print speed. This is a small, detailed part that benefits from slow printing for best results.
