Description

Here's a special laundry pole hook for Singaporean HDB residents.

Those living in Singapore HDB blocks typically have laundry poles neatly aligned on the ceiling rack. The typical Y-hook is used to ‘lift’ the pole out of the rack and slowly lowered down for laundry chores. If you understand what I'm talking about, then it's likely that you have experienced the pole slipping off the hook, dropping on the ground with a loud clang! Or worse yet, having the pole fly out of the window.

Here's a solution to that. This hook has 45° angled "fingers" that allows you to “grab'” the hook instead of leaving it to gravity. Usage:

  1. Raise the hook up to the pole (like you usually do).
  2. Twist the pole with the hook attachment (the one you're holding) so that the “fingers” locks the pole (on the ceiling rack).
  3. As you lower down the pole, the “fingers” will “untwist”, but no worries, you're still grabbing the pole

Works with:

-Lifting pole of 19mm diameter

-Laundry pole of 25mm diameter

-I've added some rubber bands to the hook to increase traction.
