Kids' Sand Play Gadget - Electric Bucket Wheel Excavator

This time I'm bringing you an excavator toy, recommended for babies aged 2-6 to play with.

This time I made 3 versions: an electric version, a manual version, and a mini version suitable for desktop display

Both the electric and manual versions are full-sized, 95*36cm, with three-stage adjustable seat height and adjustable legroom

Both the electric and manual versions use 5 bearings. The electric version has an additional motor, about 30cm of wire, battery contacts, and a limit switch. See attachments for the accessories list

The mini version requires no hardware. It is only suitable for handheld play and has no actual sand digging capability. The original seat of the mini version can be replaced with a pen holder accessory.

Regarding the color scheme, I used the Evangelion Unit-01 color scheme this time, and I also made an Evangelion Unit-01 badge in the model for everyone, which I won't display here

Before making it, I looked at a lot of information, and I'd like to thank EngineerForge for their bucket wheel excavator work, which gave me a lot of inspiration, and I learned a lot

Especially the method of bending and arranging TPU on the build plate. How to print a conveyor belt with a circumference of about 90cm on a single plate was something I had never thought of before. It instantly opened up my mind.

Friendly reminder: Since the conveyor belt is printed with TPU filament, I have made it extremely thin on the model. In theory, the softer the TPU, the smoother the rotation, everyone can give it a try

If anyone has other ideas for the pen holder part, you are welcome to design and modify it yourself for secondary creation.

This version is suitable for babies with a little bit of hands-on ability, as it involves some simple circuits (which is just wiring)

During testing, the electric version performed the best. I tested many geared motors, and for safety reasons, I finally chose a 6V 13 RPM motor, as it's for babies to play with, it doesn't need to be too fast

Here, I'm providing an idea: if the child is older and finds it too slow, you can buy a slightly faster motor and then just add a speed controller

The manual version was the first version I made. I know you all might lose interest when you see that you need to buy accessories, but for smooth rotation, the manual version only requires 5 bearings.

If you want to play with sand, the electric version is recommended. Due to the exposed gears, the manual version is suitable for playing with dust-free items like cassia seeds.

Finally, I want to tell everyone, this model was the most effort-intensive among all I've made. I personally feel the completion level is quite high. Friends who are interested can really try printing a mini version to play with. My baby is still too young and can't play with it, but babies aged 2.5 years and older should be fine. Every time I took it out for testing, many children gathered around wanting to play, which greatly satisfied my darn vanity, haha.
